The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to lead cloud solution design and implementation across client engagements. This role will support public sector digital modernization by designing secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud infrastructure and application architectures—primarily using Microsoft Azure or AWS.
As a technical leader, you’ll work closely with solution architects, developers, security teams, and business stakeholders to align cloud strategy with enterprise goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design cloud-native and hybrid architectures aligned with business and technical requirements
- Provide guidance on cloud platform selection, provisioning, automation, and monitoring
- Lead design and migration efforts for legacy systems moving to cloud environments
- Ensure cloud solutions are secure, scalable, and cost-optimized
- Define architecture artifacts including solution diagrams, standards, and documentation
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
- Support cloud governance and compliance strategies, especially in public sector contexts
- Provide technical mentorship and thought leadership to project teams
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- 8+ years in IT architecture roles, with at least 3 years in a cloud-focused position
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure or AWS (certification strongly preferred)
- Hands-on experience with IaaS, PaaS, and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, AKS, EKS)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
- Strong understanding of networking, security, identity, and governance in the cloud
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred:
- Experience working with public sector clients and regulatory environments
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud, multi-cloud, and migration best practices
- Exposure to zero-trust security models and frameworks
- Bilingual (English/French) communication skills
- Willingness to travel if required
